Startup Scripts in Linux Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information

Let's just see how good you people really are with Linux Big Grin

I have a little problem. I want to create a startup script that includes a root command that sets my primary CD drive to DMA mode 2.

Now, I don't know how to create a startup script and I don't have a single clue how to make a root command start on startup.

Any help would be great on this one!!

Edit the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file to add the absolute path of the script.

Thanks!!

I really should write this down somewhere so won't forget it in my later life. Time to write a program where I can write stuff down and give them topics.
