Proxies/Socks Mirc etc Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information

Hi digital age freak!

Well, in a time I have tried to use proxy, wingate and socks servers to connect through them to different things, like Mirc, to other telnetservers, ftpservers etc in the purpose to hide your ip. Im not a teenage wannabe hacker and want to do dumb things, but it's for the knowledge =()

Mirc is very difficult when you want to hide your ip through a proxy/socks/wingate so that ip shows instedd. First of all you must have a proxy/socks/wingate that allows you to connect to what you want, like Mirc(port 6667+), Telnet (23) etc...

And after that you have to connect to a irc-server that allows connection from that typical server...

Where can I find good proxies/socks/wingate servers? I've searched on different free proxy sites like www.proxys4all.com, but they only works when you surf with them, not connection thrpugh them...

I need some help here, anyone know where the problem lies? Any solution?

Toccz

Some of the IRC servers usually scans for open proxies/wingates on incoming connections. So that you are not able to use proxy in order to avoid abuse.
Thus, your problem can be solved by using a proxy/winagate that is not running on default ports.
You can scan for proxies/wingates by using a scanner. Scanning subnets of countries like India and Pakistan might give you good results.

You can get alot of lists of proxies by searching at google.com.

Scanning Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information

That was a good idea to use other proxy/wingate ports. In the search for finding them you have to do some portscanning. What I know, portscanning other computers can be charged for preparring illegal things. But anyway, how do I know for example Indias subnet?

By the way, thanks for the tip Ravish.

Portscanners Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information

I think I have to clarify myself... What I ment was that I dont want to scan from my own computer with portscanners like GFI Languard, but I want to scan through another computer. That can you do with Subseven. Clear? Tongue

I've heard that Nmap is hard for ISPs to discover if you scann with the right method?! Anyone know if thats just a rumor, or true?

Have a nice day in this digital-age!

Yeah, nmap is hard to discover as it uses various advanced portscanning techniques and also provides you good results.
