At the present time I'd have to go with KDE as my favorite. Once I find the time for it I'll check out Enlightenment.
By the way, do you think that it's normal to way up to 10 seconds or even a bit longer for a window to open in KDE??
I know that it opens a lot faster in Microsoft Windows.

That could be due to your system itself. I don't get that delay in KDE unless It's running as a virtual machine with VMWare or VirtualPC. Even then, I find that increasing the ram allowance to 128mb fixes that problem entirely.

To tell the truth. KSysGuard doesn't even show a difference on Memory Usage. And for some reason I still have the problem.
Now, by default, I always have a console, Konqueror, KMail and KSysGuard open, each on a different virtual Desktop. At the same time I might have Noatun open to listen to music and I try to keep XMule open. Could it have something to do with the number of running applications, or is it just KDE??
